About the Band
Formed by longtime members of Seattle’s street music scene and HONK! Fest West, Chaotic Noise fuses brass, percussion, and saxes with metal, punk, and rock energy. Our sets blend rowdy originals and ferocious covers, delivered with theatrical antics and a taste for mayhem.
We play festivals, parades, large outdoor events, club shows, private parties, weddings, funerals, stage shows, roaming performances, and surprise activations.
Booking Details
- Band size
- Usually 10–18 players. On short notice we've played with as few as 7, which is a different (but still loud) experience.
- Set length
- A full set usually runs 45–60 minutes. We can also break that into shorter sets, play people in to the start of your event before a set, or come in quietly to surprise the audience.
- In place or on the move
- We mostly play in one spot, but we also roam, and can pied-piper a crowd in to the start of an event or out at the end.
- Travel
- Generally within about 2 hours of Seattle. Farther is possible with higher pay, food and lodging, or airfare covered.
- Notice
- 3–4 weeks is ideal, and more lead time usually means a bigger band. 1 week is a good minimum. A small same-day crew is sometimes possible with at least 6 hours' notice, so players can grab instruments and costumes and get to you.
- Rates
- Available on request.
Tech & Setup
No amps or PA needed. We're fully acoustic, mobile, and self-contained. We bring the sound, you provide the space. For longer sets, we appreciate access to water, some shade, and a short break about every 45 minutes. For larger shows with the full group, a few microphones for sousaphone, vocals, and solos can help with clarity.
